My mission is simple: to help children become confident, joyful readers through warm, individualized, and structured literacy instruction.
I believe reading should feel possible, even fun, for every child. My goal is to meet students where they are, guide them step by step, and help them feel proud of their progress along the way.
I envision a world where every child feels capable, valued, and supported as they learn to read. I also want parents to feel informed, encouraged, and understood.
Tutoring should be more than just extra practice. It should be a space where learning feels joyful, progress feels real, and confidence grows with every session.

- Learning that is joyful, hands-on, and engaging
- Instruction centered on each child’s unique needs
- Structured literacy for all learners
- Encouragement and confidence-building in every session
- Strong communication and partnership with families
- Teaching with integrity, warmth, and care
- Ongoing professional learning to better serve every child
I work with children in K through 6th grade who benefit from clear, systematic, and supportive reading instruction, especially those who need more than just extra practice.
🧒 Early Readers (K–2nd Grade)
Building foundational skills in phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and early comprehension through developmentally appropriate instruction.
🌟 Developing Readers (Grades 3–6)
Strengthening accuracy, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and stamina for students ready for more challenge.
📘 Struggling or Reluctant Readers
Offering patient, step-by-step instruction that makes reading feel less overwhelming and more achievable for children who have felt unsure or frustrated.
🧠 Readers with Dyslexia or Characteristics of Dyslexia
Providing explicit, systematic support that improves decoding, fluency, comprehension, and confidence using methods aligned with the science of reading.
Each session is carefully structured to build skills and confidence.
Sessions include:
- A friendly check-in to connect
- Phonemic awareness activities
- Direct, structured phonics or word study instruction
- Word decoding and fluency practice
- Reading connected text
- Comprehension or writing activity
- A positive, encouraging close
Session Options:
- 25 minutes — ideal for younger or early readers
- 55 minutes — ideal for older or developing readers
Most families schedule 1–2 sessions per week to support steady, meaningful growth.
Your child may benefit from structured-literacy tutoring if they:
- Avoid reading or feel frustrated by it
- Guess at words or struggle with accuracy
- Need help with decoding or fluency
- Feel discouraged, overwhelmed, or behind
- Want reading to feel easier and more enjoyable
- Need more confidence and a clear, step-by-step path forward
If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
I would love to learn more about your child and how I can support their reading journey.
